Wrapping up another month’s worth of Batman Beyond, the Good Brothers tackle one final episode entitled “Eyewitness”, where the relationship between the new Batman and the old Batgirl comes to a head. Cal and Liam discuss just how much enjoyment can come from an episode when the tension has been spoiled, more love for the Mad Stan character, why this episode may have deserved to have been a 2-part episode, further appeals for the soundtrack to be released, a tough discussion with regards to the episode’s rewatchability and a discussion on the transition from traditional to digital animation. The final episode in January is the 90th edition of the DCAU Review and on this week’s show, the Good Brothers cover the Batman Beyond episode “Hooked Up.” Cal & Liam talk about the various prior episodes that dealt with an item substituting for drug addiction and how effective this episode is in tackling that difficult topic.
