As we continue with our month of Batman Beyond reviews, we come to an oft-forgotten episode titled “Armory” which asks the age-old question, “What would you do to keep your lavish lifestyle intact, after losing your job due to corporate downsizing?” Okay, so maybe that’s not that much of an age-old question, but never fear because the Good Brothers are here to answer it anyway! Hear Cal and Liam discuss a plot complete with outdated technology and gender roles, what would make the average person go from zero to treason in no time, featuring a main-baddie that doesn’t talk which allows for action and music to be brought to the forefront. Plus the hosts list the voice cast, making an argument for a surprising addition to the DCAU Mt. Rushmore of voice-actors, and discuss #MyWarMachine(?!?) making his voice heard as Armory. All of this, more talk about Terry forgetting the suit’s invisibility, and much more on this week’s all-new DCAU Review!

A new month means a new series for discussion and the Good Brothers are returning to the future with a review of the Batman Beyond episode “Rats.” The hosts poke some serious holes in the plot and discuss Dana’s potential undiagnosed low self-esteem issues. They also continue their case for why #DanaDeservesBetter and once again make an appeal for the full Beyond soundtrack to be released. Plus a myriad of visual Easter Eggs are discussed along with why this was one of the voice actors’ final gig and the introduction of the Mad Stan character and why parts of this episode seem to ring true to modern society in the year 2020. The final episode in January is the 90th edition of the DCAU Review and on this week’s show, the Good Brothers cover the Batman Beyond episode “Hooked Up.” Cal & Liam talk about the various prior episodes that dealt with an item substituting for drug addiction and how effective this episode is in tackling that difficult topic. Cal, in particular, has an issue with a few things in the plot and lays out what he feels to be a more rounded ending. The fellas also discuss some tip-top visuals, some outstanding music and the DCAU voice-acting legends cast in tiny roles for this week.
